The yellowish honey taste fresh date known as ' Barhi ' is available throughout the middle east and is popular for its distinctive sweet taste and crunchiness; its also a rich source of fiber, iron, potassium, B-vitamins, flavonoids and antioxidants; a natural powerhouse undoubtedly.
This date is unique and very delicious in its edibility during the first stage of its ripeness. Once it ripens, it gets even sweeter to be specific. the color of the dates darken giving it a brownish look. The best way to have this then is in its Frozen state and it works as a perfect add-on to milk shakes and smoothies.
